The harvest time and the

first northern lights

August in Lapland means harvesting the fruits of nature, namely berries and mushrooms. In the forests, we now look for cloudberries, blueberries, lingonberries, porcini mushrooms and russula. In mid-August, the nights gradually get darker and the time for the Northern Lights arrives.

Once again, this is’ dojo’ time – a time of transition when nature pauses for a moment to reflect on itself and practice self-care. During dojo, we encourage you to engage in nature meditations, Qi-Gong, and mindfulness exercises that have substance and depth. In doing so, you will begin to let go of your ‘old self’ and find your ‘center.’ The vibrations of Shamanic drumming and acupuncture sessions enhance this process, as do your sauna and hot tub immersions.

You will also spend time with our Laikas, whose leadership skills will be tested again and again as you work with them. In addition, engaging in intuitive archery along pristine nature trails will provide you with increased focus and self-reflection. You will connect more closely with nature on a small fishing boat on the inland sea.

Toward the end of the day, you will enjoy the warmth of a campfire and cook local food as we nourish the element ‘earth.’Then, in a cozy teepee next to a stove of self-chopped wood, you will rest contentedly on a reindeer skin and (with luck) gaze at the northern lights through the skylight. Usual temperatures : 10°C to 20°C
